Caramel Apple Walnut Pudding

Qty Ingredient
1/4 cupsbutter or margarine, melted and cooled
1/2 cupsbroken walnut chunks
3/4 cupsdark corn syrup
1 cupsbrown sugar, packed
5 eggs, slightly beaten
2 medium apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 cupsbutter or margarine, melted and cooled
whipped topping
1/2 cupsbroken walnut chunks

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a greased 8-inch square or round baking dish, place apple slices in dish to cover bottom.
  3. In a bowl, mix eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, and corn syrup.
  4. Pour this over the apples. Sprinkle walnuts over top.
  5. Bake until set and knife inserted in middle comes out clean, about 50 minutes.
  6. Serve with a dollop of whipped topping.
