Buttermilk Torte

Qty Ingredient
1 1/2 cupsflour
3/4 cupsbuttermilk
1/2 teaspoonssalt
1 teaspoonsvanilla
3 tablespoonsflour
4 tablespoonsbutter, melted
1 2/3 cupssugar
4 to 5 eggs
2 tablespoonsmilk
1/2 cupscanola oil
1/8 teaspoonssalt
2 tablespoonssugar
1/2 to 1 cupswalnuts

Directions:

  1. Crust - Stir flour, sugar and salt together. Make a well in center, add oil and milk. Combine just until it holds together. Crumble into 10 inch torte pan and press smooth.
  2. Filling - Beat eggs, add remaining ingredients and mix until well combined. Pour into crust and top with desired amount of walnuts. Bake at 350°F 40 to 45 minutes. Store in refrigerator.
