Baked French Toast

16 slicesEnglish muffin bread
garnishsour cream
1 teaspoonsvanilla
6 to 8 ouncescream cheese
1 1/2 cupsmilk
6 large eggs
1/4 cupsmayple syrup
1/2 cupsmargarine
1 cupsbrown sugar
garnishfresh fruit

Directions:

  1. Combine melted margarine, brown sugar and maple syrup and pour into the bottom of an 11 x 16 pan.
  2. Spread 8 pieces of the English muffin bread with about 1 ounce of cream cheese.
  3. Cover the tops with another slice of the bread and place on top of the syrup mixture.
  4. Beat eggs, milk and vanilla together and pour over the bread.
  5. Let sit for a few minutes and then bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.
