Baked Custard drizzled with Cinnamon-Cranberry Sauce

Qty Ingredient
4 eggs
1/2 cupssugar
1 teaspoonsvanilla
1/4 teaspoonssalt
2 1/2 cupsmilk, scalded
1/4 teaspoonscinnamon
16 ounceswhole cranberry sauce
1/2 teaspoonscinnamon

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Beat together eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Stir in 2 ½ cups of scalded milk. Pour into a greased 2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Place in the oven for 35 – 40 minutes. Do not overbake!
  3. When finished, the custard should be firm, but gel-like.
  4. Cranberry sauce: To prepare, place sauce in a small saucepan. Add cinnamon and heat mixture on medium low heat until warm. To serve, place a portion of custard in a bowl and drizzle with warm cranberry sauce.
