Andrea’s Chocolate Nut Tart

Qty Ingredient
1 1/4 cupsNilla wafers, crushed
1/3 cupsbutter
1/4 cupsgranulated sugar
4 eggs
1 cupslight-colored corn syrup
1/2 cupsbrown sugar, packed
1 teaspoonsvanilla
1/2 cupssliced almonds
1/3 cupsmini semisweet chocolate pieces

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9-inch spring form pan with parchment paper. Do not grease. 
  2. In a bowl, combine Nilla Wafers,⅓ cup butter, and granulated sugar. Pour mixture into prepared pan, and press mixture evenly over the bottom and sides of the pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat eggs with a fork. Stir in corn syrup. Add brown sugar, ½ cup butter, and vanilla and stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in almonds and chocolate. Place prepared pan on a baking sheet. Carefully pour filling into pan and bake in a 350F oven for 40 minutes.
