  Eggcellent Cinnamon-Maple Pecan French Toast

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

(French Toast)
1 loaf sweet egg brioche bread
8 large eggs
½ cup milk
½ cup half and half
½ teaspoon maple flavoring
½ teaspoon cinnamon-maple sugar sprinkles

(Struesel mixture) – Mix together until crumbly
1 cup brown sugar
4 Tablespoons butter
4 Tablespoons flour
2 Tablespoons cinnamon-maple sugar sprinkles

(Pecan Sticky Sauce) – Brown nuts in butter, add sugar and cream until smooth.
½ cup butter
¾ cup lightly chopped pecans
1/3 cup half and half
¾ cup brown sugar

(Maple-Cinnamon Butter)
1 stick butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon-maple sugar sprinkles

Directions:

Use the large size loaf of bread. Cut 1 inch slices. This will be a large piece. In a large mixing bowl; beat eggs. Blend in milks, flavoring, and spices. Dip bread into egg wash on both sides. Mix up your streusel mix and coat bread on both sides. Pat with your hands gently to get an even coat. Spray a heavy skillet and fry toast until golden brown. Place 2 slices on a plate. Spoon pecan sticky sauce over toast. Top off with one dip of Maple Cinnamon Butter.
