  Jenna's Jazzy Pizza Pockets

Contestant: Jenna Kacmarynski - Student Fifth Place

Ingredients:

1 loaf frozen bread dough
½ lb. browned sausage
½ lb. cooked bacon
4 eggs
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
½ cup green pepper, chopped
½ cup red pepper, chopped
¼ cup onion, chopped

Sauce:
2 Tablespoons margarine
6 Tablespoons flour
2 cups warm milk
8 oz. Velveeta cheese

To make sauce:

Melt margarine in a large saucepan. Add the flour and stir until you get a paste substance. Slowly add warmed milk and stir constantly. As the sauce thickens, add cheese. When sauce is thickened, set aside.

Directions:

Combine the cooked meat together. Scramble the eggs. Roll out bread dough into a large circle about ¼ inches thick. Use calzone cutter and cut dough into four pieces. Lay your dough in the calzone cutter and fill with cheese sauce, meat, peppers, onion, and shredded cheese. Close calzone cutter and put in a 350ºF oven for 20 - 25 minutes until golden brown.

Serve with extra cheese sauce over your pizza pocket.
